What’s the evidence in relation to Alzheimer’s and any other neurodegenerative diseases?
NeoRhythm is not (yet) a medical device to combat one of the most difficult to cure neurodegenerative illnesses. In the last decade, the transcranial pulsed electromagnetic treatment indeed shows very encouraging results in the treatment process of Alzheimer’s with no harmful side effects. However, the stimulative fields used in such therapy are different from the present (PEMF) NeoRhythm programs, frequencies, and intensities.
Is there any work on the usefulness of PEMF for helping those with Asperger’s or other non-neurotypical ways of thinking and feeling?
Regarding PEMF and autism, Asperger’s syndrome, etc., the convincing evidence is still not here. Much more systematic and methodologically agreed research is needed here.
How about the vagus nerve and its role in trauma, any work there?
There is not enough research to make any conclusions.
Is there a frequency that would encourage the body to heal more quickly?
The speed of the healing process depends on the trouble/illness and also on the individual level. It is the reason why NeoRhythm includes many programs with different frequencies. Therefore we have proposed a lot of frequencies, explanations, positions, all available here.
What is your opinion that people require different field’s strength?
More precisely, people have different sensitivity to magnetic fields. There are studies that for some people with neurodegenerative diseases the field is required which are at least 1,000 times weaker (range of nano Tesla and even pico Tesla). Opinion?
The stated field’s strength is such only on the surface of the device, just above the coils. It drops with the second to the third power of distance (the field being dipolar). So that what comes to the brain is of much smaller magnitude. Such low fields are non-invasive on one side and yet found as biologically functional on the other. Pelka, in his seminal research of PEMF stimulating sleep, operated with the fields on the level of nT and still found a significant effect.
Some research indeed found that healing pulses even as low as ~ 10 picoT may have a health-promoting effect in Parkinson’s disease. However, there are also studies validating the healing impact of a high-intensity rTMS (~ 1 T). Therefore, there are different stimulative windows for various health issues. Primarily, while it may still help with numerous troubles, NeoRhythm is not a medical device.
Can NeoRhythm repair prefrontal cortex shrinkage?
So, as we already said, NeoRhythm is not a healing device, but it can help you in the treatment process. It supports the brain’s intrinsic processes. Also, it supports the brain’s rhythmic waving. The best programs that can support the brain’s functioning, thereby helping to combat the cortex shrinking, are the programs for Improving focus and Energy, and vitality.
Helpful for tinnitus and where should it be put?
According to the literature, you should use the Sleep program for 20 minutes. The central position should be on the forehead, sides just above the ears, 2-3 times daily. Alternatives are the Theta meditation program and Relaxation program. You can just experiment with these different programs to see what suits you the most. Regarding the session duration, follow the instructions, and have 2 – 3 sessions per day.
